We spend a fair bit of time at anchor, and there's quite often a sea breeze in the afternoon, so I thought it would be good fun to have a windsurfer on board. A full size board would get in the way, so I google'd for inflatable boards, and ended up buying a used one on e-bay (I normally avoid e-bay like the plague, but the seller is local so I can collect and pay cash after i've seen it) It's a Mistral Windglider Now, i'm well aware its not a performance board, but has anyone used one? I've done no windsurfing, but have done a lot of surfing, snowboarding, wakeboarding, so I know my balance is pretty good. Will I get bored with it after half an hour? The std sail is 2.2 sq m, but you can apparently get a 3.7 sq m for it, I assume that would be better for an adult rider? It can also be used as a sailing dinghy, a towable, a paddle board, or just a water platform so it seemed like a worthwhile investment anyway, even if it's a bit dull as a windsurfer.

And you'll be able to test Bmi baggage allowance again:-) Inflatable things that inflate into fabric bags are very rigid when blown up hard (manufacturer limit plus about 30% works best, imho), like those sevylor kayaks I have, so the fact it's inflatable shouldn't be a prob. Mistral is a big windsurfer brand and they make proper stuff not beach toys so it has good pedigree. Look forward to seeing it in action. Have you dinghy sailed by the way? Do you know basic sailing stuff like how to angle a sail to make it sail upwind, frexample? Not that any of it is rocket science. Altaf raja all songs.
